I began dancing at a young age and soon found a passion for contemporary dance. I attended Middlesex University where I studied many contemporary dance techniques under the guidance of some of the leading teachers of Humphrey, Graham and Cunningham. I later went on to train as a ballet and modem teacher with the ISTD, teaching GCSE dance and Contemporary Technique
I discovered Pilates when training as a dancer. Realising its complimentary benefits to dance training and inspired by my Pilates teachers throughout the years, I decided to train with Stott and I am a Stott trained Reformer and level 3 Mat pilates teacher. I also hold Total Barre instructor certificate.
My passion (obsession!) for pilates and taken me on a new journey, as i retrain as a classical pilates teacher at Exhale Pilates, London, under the guidance of Gaby Noble
Recently I have been lucky enough to attend training and workshops with Olga Tamara, Brooke Siler, Miguel Silva and Benajmin Degenhardt
I am enjoying seeing the work transform my clients bodies and mine! In my experience, no other form of exercise results in the strength and stability that the body can achieve through pilates. Joseph Pilates created a system of exercise to challenge the body and the mind, to be taught on an amazing array of equipment and on the mat. Clients start to see and feel the results and develop the same faith and passion in the method as their instructors.I am very interested in rehab Pilates and spends much of my time researching its benefits and how to input these ideas into my classes.
Later this year I will be finishing my studies in GP referral and completing my level 4 diploma in Pilates back care. I like to teach creative and effective pilates classes, focusing on the needs of the individual, where my knowledge and love of movement and dance underpins each class
